Tesco Stores wanted to submit a reserved matters planning application to consolidate the retail elements of a proposed scheme on the Eastside Extended Island Site into a single superstore. The site is a key regeneration site on the edge of Nottingham and as such the proposed scheme was highly contentious.
We were appointed by Martin Robeson Planning (themselves commissioned by Tesco to prepare the planning application) to conduct research which could clearly set out in qualitative and quantitative terms the economic and regeneration benefits which would result from the proposed scheme.
We prepared a regeneration and economic impact assessment which was incorporated into an Environmental Statement. This accompanied a planning application for the scheme which was submitted to Nottingham City Council.
A regeneration and economic impact assessment to inform an Environmental Statement which can support a planning application for a new superstore on the edge of Nottingham Town Centre.
