Notts Business Park Research

Notts Business Park Research

Our team was commissioned by Wilson Bowden Developments to investigate the reasons behind underperformance at their Nottingham Business Park. We found that the overall size of the Nottingham commercial office market coupled with competition from several in-town and city fringe locations was dampening demand.

The situation was unlikely to change markedly, so we recommended that Wilson Bowden, and their sister organisation Barratt Strategic, pursue a strategy of diversification into residential uses. We proposed that Nottingham Business Park should continue to serve as part of the city’s employment land portfolio whilst also delivering much needed new family housing.

The Regeneris Consulting analysis was used to underpin Wilson Bowden’s submissions into the Nottingham Aligned Core Strategy and related planning policy documents.

An analysis of recent trends at a major, but underperforming, out-of-town office park. Our work estimated future levels of demand and recommended a strategy of diversification into residential uses.
