Anglesey Leisure Village

Anglesey Leisure Village

Land & Lakes appointed Regeneris to assess the economic need and potential impact of Penrhos Leisure Village, a 208 hectare leisure and residential development near Holyhead in North Wales. The development includes around 800 lodges, a 75-bed hotel, an indoor sub-tropical pool, water sports centre, spa, outdoor sports facilities, a new coastal nature reserve, and 360 new homes. The scheme would initially provide temporary accommodation for construction workers involved in the Wylfa new build nuclear power station project.

Regeneris helped Land & Lakes make their case on the grounds of economic need and its scope to strengthen the local visitor economy. Our analysis considered impacts during the construction phase and the direct on-site effects of its operation as well as the wider catalytic impacts.

Land & Lakes Ltd planning application for the Penrhos Leisure Village was approved by Isle of Anglesey County Council in November 2013.
