Liverpool John Lennon Airport has gone through continued expansion over the last decade and is now a key part of the city’s transport infrastructure.
At each stage of major expansion we have been retained to advise on the economic benefits of a larger facility. Our research quantified the substantial volume of on-site employment that would be created and also examined wider catalytic impacts on the sub-regional economy. These catalytic impacts are generated through travel time savings for businesses and the potential synergies with Liverpool’s Port infrastructure.
Our research included a survey of on-site airport tenants and reviewed economic impact evidence from across Europe. Our report underpinned individual planning applications and longer term thinking on the future development of the airport.
A wide ranging assessment of the economic benefits of an expanded airport. Our work quantified both direct on-site employment and wider catalytic effects.
