John Lewis Impact Study

John Lewis Impact Study

Basing View is a large business park on the edge of Basingstoke town. As part of large scale redevelopment plans to transform Basing View into a modern business location, a combined John Lewis at Home and Waitrose store was proposed for a key gateway site.

Regeneris Consulting was commissioned to prepare an economic impact assessment for the development of the store. Our work objectively assessed the socio-economic impacts associated with the delivery of the store – including construction impacts, impacts associated with the operation of the store and wider regeneration impacts relating to the delivery of the overarching Basing View masterplan.

Our outputs were submitted as part of the planning application for the store. Planning permission was subsequently granted, with the new store expected to open in 2015.
