Preston Housing Development
Taylor Wimpey has been advancing proposals for a 450 dwelling green field development in Preston. The development is in the north west of the city in an area that has historically seen major housing growth.
Our work involved a detailed assessment of economic benefits from the construction phase and the spending power of the new residents and contribution to an enhanced labour supply. We also reviewed the demand on new social and community infrastructure as part of the Environmental Statement, especially in relation to education needs. Out team was involved in several public consultation and briefing events linked to the development.
The work was used as an integral part of the planning application to Preston City Council, in negotiations on Section 106 contributions and in advancing the case for the site.
